I am writing to thank you all for your work on installing my new Visiontex blinds and timber shutters. It was such a trying day last Thursday, and you all worked so hard in difficult conditions. I am sitting in the lounge room without the air conditioner on, as there is no need for it. Earlier today, when I demonstrated the operation of the shade blind for that room, the increase in room temperature when it was up was immediately noticeable. As soon as the sun hits the glass, the temperature changes. I was (and am) impressed with the obviously detailed work that was done at the factory so that all the parts of the blinds and shutters fitted together so accurately on site.

Operation & Configuration

Our wooden window shutters can be operated in a variety of ways, including: hinged (so they will swing open, similar to a door), bi-fold (so they will stack neatly to either side of the opening) and sliding (so they will slide to one side of the opening). There is also the option to leave the shutters fixed, which means they will be permanently fixed in place (the louvres will still move).

Where to Use?

Wood shutters are designed specifically for use inside the home, so please note that they cannot be installed outdoors. They can be used in most rooms of the house, from the living areas to the bedrooms, and can even be treated for use in bathrooms and other areas where they might be exposed to moisture.

FAQs

Q Doesn’t wood warp and become damaged easily?

AAs wooden shutters are a naturally occurring and biological material, there is always the chance that they can warp or become damaged. At Amaru, however, we use quality hardwood that has been kiln dried to reduce the moisture content plus correct milling techniques and finishing systems to avoid this.

Q How do I care for these shutters?

AMany people ask about care when looking at timber shutters for sale. Avoid using chemical cleaners wherever possible, as they could potentially damage the beautiful wood surface. Instead, just give them a regular dust using a microfiber cloth. If it’s been a while, use a damp cloth to remove caked on dust.
