FRAMES

Choose from four frame choices – small, medium, capped L and Z options. The shutters come with 90 degree corner posts and 45 degree bay window posts to ensure a perfect fit first time, every time.

Operation & Configuration

There are three methods of operation to choose from when it comes to PVC plantation shutters – hinged (so they will swing open, similar to a door), bi-fold (so they will stack neatly to either side of the opening) and sliding (so they will slide to one side of the opening). Faux shutters can also be fixed, which means they will be permanently fixed in place (but the louvres can still be moved).

Where to Use?

Like timber ones, faux wood plantation shutters are designed specifically for use inside the home. They can be used in any room, from bedrooms to living areas, but are especially suited for areas that might be exposed to moisture (such as bathrooms, laundries and kitchens). This is because PVC and aluminium are both resistant to warping and other issues caused by exposure to moisture.

FAQs

Q Why would you choose fauxwood over timber or aluminium?

AThere are actually plenty of reasons why a homeowner might prefer PVC shutters to timber or aluminium ones, but it will ultimately come down to a matter of personal preference. The prevailing reason is that homeowners like the look of timber but also want the durability of aluminium.

Q How do I care for these shutters?

AOne of the main reasons behind the popularity of PVC window shutters is the fact that they have very few maintenance requirements. Just be sure to regularly dust them by running a microfiber cloth or your vacuum cleaner (with the brush head attachment) over each of the louvres.
