When you want to take control of sunlight, views, privacy or even ventilation in your home, aluminium shutters in Mornington are the ideal solution. They’re also great for creating enclosed outdoor rooms and providing alfresco areas with added protection – you’ll wonder what you ever did without them!
We have already touched on the fact that aluminium window shutters provide maximum control over sunlight, views, privacy and ventilation – all you need to do is adjust the louvres to the desired angle.
Closing the louvres completely will provide the most protection and privacy, whilst opening them completely will allow plenty of sunlight and airflow through. Angle the louvres either up or down if you want to maintain privacy without blocking sunlight and airflow.
Aluminum window shutters have three methods of operation – hinged (so they will swing open, similar to a door), bi-fold (so they will stack neatly to either side of the opening) and sliding (so they will slide to one side of the opening). They can also be fixed, which means they will be permanently fixed in place (but the louvres can still be moved).
“I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge your staff member Peter. After building our home 4 years ago we finally saved enough money to replace the builders vertical blinds with shutters. We tried researching online and had several quotes that simply left us confused but when Peter arrived he explained everything and was very informative. If Peter is an example of the professional staff at Amaru, I have no hesitation to recommend your company to all my friends and family.“Thompson Family
The great thing about window shutters aluminum is that they can be used both indoors and outdoors, ensuring that your needs can be met no matter where they happen to be. The powder coated frames and louvres are able to withstand exposure to even the most extreme weather, and you will find that they stand up well in your home’s wet areas, too.
For all coastal and high wind locations, we generally recommend cyclone rated external shutters. These are able to better withstands the conditions in such areas, thereby providing your home with better protection and ensuring that the shutters will endure for many years.
To keep aluminium shutters external looking their best, it is recommended that you give them a thorough clean every three to six months. Give them a wash with a mild detergent solution, which should be able to remove dirt build up with ease. When used internally, a regular dust should be sufficient.
